Kenyon Brooks was the son of American writer Van Wyck Brooks and Eleanor Stimson Brooks, brother of Charles Van Wyck Brooks. He graduated from the Loomis School in Windsor, Connecticut in 1933, at which time he entered Harvard, the school that both his brother Charles and father Van Wyck had attended.
